DO NOT READ ON UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE BOOK – SPOILER ALERT!
“Swords can be kept off with shields but the Eye of Wisdom pierces through every defence!”
The third book in the ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ series, The Horse and His Boy was another completely captivating reread for me. I loved the characters – and how C.S. Lewis managed to reveal so much about each character purely through the dialogue – the land of Narnia and beyond – I did love visiting places outside of Narnia, and it was great how he based the story around what happens outside Narnia, and of course, the storyline.
“Try not to hear what is meant for other ears.”
It’s brilliant how C.S. Lewis puts lots of little snippets (and big snippets!) of biblical references into the books, it really adds to the story, and is one of the reasons why it is such a renowned children’s series.
Comment below your thoughts! I really want to know whether you guys have read it, or are interested in reading it.
Thank you for reading!
